My point with this rant is that a lot of the artists who offer a counter image to the materialistic message found in most Hip-Hop these days seem to be on hiatus. When are they coming back with new stuff?

I'm enjoying reading your blog. It's too bad that there is so much exploitative hip hop music which is detracting from more worthwhile artists receiving their due. I'm thinging of people like Common, Mos Def and others of course, but also quirky acts like Spank Rock, Cadence Weapon, and others.
